Youssry Taha Trio
My main working band. This is my laboratory, accompanied by two amazing musicians, Pierre Dayer (Drums) and Ulysse Loup (Bass), we’re hard at work experimenting, trying new grooves, melodies and messing with song structure. Heavily inspired by my Arabic roots and modern Jazz, you’ll find a bit of everything here as we evolve and grow along our musical journey.

A Banjo and drum duet mixing striking melodies and mystical rythmes. I met Athina Dill at the Bern Jazz University and we both knew we were going to collaborate. An sound artisan on the drums, both our musical personalities meet within Two Moons.

Teaching
If you want to learn how to play the Banjo, look no further ! I am luckily to be the first Banjo player in Switzerland to receive a Bachelor’s degree in Jazz Banjo and I am currently working on my pedagogy master’s degree. Proficient in traditional Bluegrass as well as more modern genres of music, I can offer a variety of teaching methods best suited to your needs and interests. I also teach music theory, composition and arrangement courses for those who are interested in how music works.
I teach Banjo in individual or group lessons (bring a friend!) in Lausanne, Geneva and Bern, as well as online.
